Super Long Waits For The 71 and 73 Buses Tonight At Harvard Station
So I got to the Harvard Square Bus Stop about 6:50 tonight and noticed a huge crowd of people already waiting. My immense powers of observation led me to the conclusion that a bus had not come in a while. One of the people waiting quickly confirmed this to me and said they had been waiting for about 20 minutes. Time passed and eventually more and more people became part of the crowd. Around 7:15 a 73 bus finally came, but there was too many people for that one bus and some of the people who where trying to get on where told by the driver to get off of the bus. One of the people who was told to get off (hey Beavis he said "get off"), started cursing and screaming at the bus driver and the bus driver started yelling something back at him in a slightly calmer way. Eventually the 73 bus went by, and then we got 3 straight 71 buses back to back to back. There was enough people to fill all three buses. I got on the third. I am going to try to look at the bright side of this situation. I think it illustrates that the vast majority (I would say 85%) of the time the buses/trains run relatively on time so when something like this happens it leads to more frustration and anger from the people waiting because they are used to the system at least kinda working. I think some of the anger might have been mitigated if an announcement was made to explain the situation as I am sure there was a reasonable explanation for the long wait. Instead, we got an announcement every 5 minutes from a current or former Boston athlete Like former Patriot Andre Tippett stating the virtues of riding the T. I was in no rush to get to an appointment or anything and I got to listen to pretty much all of Bright Eyes' Fever And Mirrors Album while waiting so I was relatively calm about the whole thing. However, I do admit if I was in a rush I would have been pretty pissed about the long wait. In the end, whether you ride your bike in, drive in, or take the T, if you are commuting into the city all methods have their own peccadilloes.

It’s really a great post..I would like to appreciate your work and I am going to recommend it to my friends.
