I am anticipating Obama being sworn in and hearing his inaugural address; but, right now I just wanted to get all the pomp and circumstance over with so he can get going to the governing part. Unlike some of his supporters, I never thought that Obama was going to be a "new" kind of politician. I just always thought he was going to be a great traditional politicians with the same flaws of occasional bullshitting, going back on promises, and playing pragmatic political games as the rest. That being said, I think Obama is going to use the past as a guide and take the best of past administrations and try to incorporate it into his own. Step one is this over the top inauguration. Some say it is a waste of money in bad times, but it is an important step for the country to get its swagger back.
