Get Well A-Rod & Other Quick Sports Thoughts
- I hope A-Rod's hip injury will not make him miss a big part of the season. I am not writing that in jest. I don't want to be deprived of coming up with different ways to taught him as the he leads the new high priced Yankees to another World Series winnings season.
- The Boston Phoenix has a really good story on Stephan Marbury on the cover this week about all his idiosyncrasies. It will be interesting to see how his time in Boston turns out.
- Speaking of athletes who make things more interesting, I was a little disappointed that Manny did eventually end up with the Dodgers. I was hoping he would be in the American League or at least at least the East Coast so I could see him play more.
- I am not too worried about the Bruins sputtering right now; despite the fucking Devils gaining on them for the number 1 overall seed. In some ways, It might not be the worst thing in the world if the Bruins where not going into the playoffs with all the pressure of a number 1 seed.
- Speaking of number 1 seeds, the Sharks and Bruins got off to the super fast starts but the always on top or near the top Red WIngs have taken the total points lead. That must be pretty disheartening for the folks out in San Jose. That is if there are actually people in San Jose who give a shit about hockey aside from it being a side novelty.
