Battle For The East: Celtics vs. Cavs
This year's Cavs team is better than last year's team that pushed the Celtics to the bring in the playoffs. Lebron is a better player and Mo Williams is a big help as a scorer as evident by the fact that he had 26 points last night. However, I still am confident that the Celtics can beat them in the playoffs. Both team's in general are very solid on defense, but the Celtics just have more scoring options. People forget that in the playoffs last year, Ray Allen was in a major funk for most of it. He has been better this season. Assuming that he is the Allen we have been seeing this season in this year's playoffs as opposed to the Ray Allen of last year's playoffs I don't think that even with Mo Williams the Cavs have enough scoring power to match the C's. It will be a rare night when both Pierce and Allen are not hot shooting the ball. If both are hot, I don't think the Cavs or any team have much chance. If only one of them is hot, then all the Celtics need is one other player to come up big offensively which there are many candidates for on this team. That being said, home court advantage would be nice.
