All these media pundits are praising Jon Stewart for his prosecutor like destruction of Jim Cramer a few days ago.  They seem to be missing the big picture though. This was not about Jim Cramer or even CNBC, it is about the vast majority of the media. The Daily Show's bread and butter is mocking the news media and all the pointless crap feed to the public. There are 2 huge stories this decade. 1. The Iraq War which was sold to us on WMD that was not really there  2. The Recent economic collapse.  On those 2 stories the media gets an F. While they where chasing the latest missing white girl, Politicians and Business leaders in power where repeatedly fucking people over and they did not expose it. The average person who is working and taking care of their family does not have the resources or time to hold those in power's feet to the fire. That is your job and you guys have sucked at it. My fellow Greek American Harry Markopoulos did his best to try to expose Madoff's bullshit scheme, but in all the time Madoff was pulling this shit, you are telling me that no one in the media was paying enough attention to try to find out what he was doing? I will say it again, You guys suck.  You suck on a global level, a national level, and even a local level. I found out more about what is happening in the Boston area on websites like Universalhub.com that link to various local blogs than the Globe or the Herald. And why is that? it is cause the media sucks. Since the death of Tim Russert, there are few people left I can trust that they will do a thorough job when interviewing someone. Jon Stewart did that with Cramer. Hopefully others in the media follow suit.
