Worst At-Bat Of The Day: Lowell or Drew?

For much of this decade, especially 03/04 and to a lesser extent in 07, the hall mark of the Sox line up was always trying to grind up pitchers by forcing them to throw a lot of pitches and to never give away At-Bats. But, that is just what the Sox have been doing so far this year. 2 of the worst examples of giving away an At-Bat where in the 8th and 9th today. Mike Lowell  had the bases loaded,  was up 2-0 in the count, and just saw Shields walk the bases loaded, and what does he do? He swings, and not only does he swing, he pops it up. Then we have JD Drew who may have even topped Lowell. In the 9th inning with 2 men on, Drew just leaves the bat on his shoulder and watches strike 3 go by him right down the middle. WTF? Lowell's pop up might have cost the game more because a walk or sac fly could have tied the game at the time, but Drew watching the game go right by  was a more egregious offense.
