Boston Sports 3-0 Day
A great day in Boston sports started off with the appetizers of the Sox beating down Baltimore with Papi getting his grove back and a great finish in the women's Marathon. Tonight we got the main course; 2 playoff games. In the Bruins game, the Harry Sinden cliché did not hold true and the Bruins got the first power play of the night in Montreal but it was the Habs getting the first goal. But the Bruins held their composer and battled back and just played a solid game from every line. Even Thornton got a goal and Kobasew just wanted it more at the end and fought for the empty net goal. Speaking of an end to a game, The Bulls vs Celtics game two came down to the wire. With no Garnett and Powe hurt the Celtics again where having defensive troubles. But a lot of credit has to go to the Bulls Gordon who was hitting everything all night to the tune of 42 points. Lucky for the Celts, Ray Allen bounced back after a tough first 6 quarters of the playoffs to match Gordon in the second half. It was one of those games when the cliché held true of whoever had the last shot was going to win and the Celtics ran a great final play to get Ray open to drill the game winning shot. And to go along with something Bill Simmons recently mentioned, Ray Allen > Reggie Miller.
