Sidney Crosby & Lebron James Face The Legends Test
They are the 2 biggest names in each of their sports, and both currently stand at a key moment in their young career.
- For Lebron, he is down 3-1 in the Eastern Conference finals. We have seen Lebron do a ton of amazing things over his career, but now we will see if he can lead a come back. People expected the Cavs to cruise in this series, but all has not gone as planned. The Magic are playing good defense and their 3 point shooters are draining everything from outside. Lebron does not have a great cast around him, but we expect him to be superhuman. If he does not lead a come back, he is still already a top 20 all-time player. But, if he does pull it off and eventually win it all this year with this random cast of characters around him, then he will vault into superhuman top 5 of all time status.
- For Sidney Crosby, he is at that the early Gretzky point in his career. In the early 1980s the New York Islanders where the team to beat having won 4 straight Cups. In their last Cup victory, the Islanders beat an Oilers team led by Gretzky. The Detroit Red Wings have been the best team of the last decade plus and last year they won another Cup beating the Penguins led by a young Crosby. After the loss, the next year Gretzky came back to defeat the Islanders and win the Cup. Crosby faces (and Evgeni Malkin who is every bit as good, but this is still Crosby's team) the same thing now that the Red Wings have advanced his Cup. The Question is now will he be able to pull a Gretzky?
