It is very rare in sports when you have a team with 2 stars that are equals and feed off of each other abilities. Usually, you have a system with a main Alpha Dog and a Robin to the A-Dog's Batman like Jordan and Pippin. The Penguins have that rare dual-star system with Malkin and Crosby. While they have different skill sets and personalities they are equals on the ice. And when they are on the ice, it is electric to watch. Malkin plays like a heat seeking missile that is always heading towards the net while Crosby finds passing lanes better then anyone since Gretzky. However, Malkin if fully capable of making a perfect pass like he did on a two on one rush tonight to Crosby who can finish a goal as good as anyone. This has been an a very entertaining series because Detroit is a lot deeper team than the Penguins so it is going to take superhuman efforts by their dual-star to win. Crosby and Malkin are the best and most entertaining combo on the same team in sports since Manny/Papi in their prime. However, they also will need a third guy to step up. It can be a different guy each game and tonight it was Jordan Staal who made a great move around Rafalski and then used his strength to hold him off and get off a great shot. The play was something his older brother Eric Staal has had a great career doing.
