Best Win Of The Year
So Many positives to list from tonights win:
- Papi hit had 2 hits included another HR. This one was especially positive since he went over the Monster.
- Penny pitched his best game of the year. 6 shut out innings against the Yankees and he was clocked at 98MPH on a few pitches. His trade value keeps going up. I know some say keep him, but just like a stock I think we need to take our winnings and sell high on him. What we don't need is to have him on our roster if he gets hurt and right now he is a veteran pitcher who could be a solid number 3 for teams in contention like the Rangers, Dodgers, and Mets that need more pitching. And the Sox have Buchholz pitching near perfect games and Smoltz coming back from rehab to take his place.
- We are not 8-0 against them.
- Not only are we 8-0, we demoralized them by beating their stopper ace that they paid a shit load of money for Sabathia.
- It was a come back win to add to the demoralization
- Nick Swisher made an idiotic play on the base paths when he took off on a fly ball with one out that was a classic Nelson Munks haha moment.
