Congrats To The Pittsburgh Penguins
If my team is not in the finals, then this is how my rooting interest usually go: I root for teams with former players that I like or I root against a team that I hate (i.e. Yankees, Lakers). If there is no team I hate in the match up and no former players I care that much about (like this Cup Final, {sorry Hal Gill, but I did not get choked up watching you hold the cup }) , I just root for a good entertaining series and that what the Penguins and Red Wings provided everyone. Tonight's game 7 was not a "classic" game, but it was a very good game and provided memorable moments like Talbot's perfect shot in the top shelf, Crosby getting his knee crushed in the boards, and Fleury making some great saves included diving across the crease in the final moments to seal the victory. Congrats to the Penguins and special props to Evgeni Malkin for one of the great playoff run performances I have seen and electrifying the building everytime he took the shot.
