Baseball At The Break
- Congrats to Beckett for pitching a great game and getting his 100th win.
- While getting him would give us an insanely good top 3, I don't want to get Roy Halladay. I Don't think J.P. will get 5 top prospects like he has been saying, but for the Sox to get him it would start with Buchholz and Bard which who I do not want to give up.
- If The Blue Jays do trade Halladay, I would want him to go to the Dodgers; mostly because If the Sox make it to the Series It would be pretty sweet to face the Dodgers with all the different story lines. Manny vs The Sox, Torre vs The Sox, McCourt Vs. Henry ect.
- The Mets sucking ass in the first half gives me great joy. They started their swan dive extra early this year.
- Hanley Ramirez is the only thing standing in the way of Pujols getting the triple crown this year.
- Tampa Bay scares me more than the Yankees.
- If the Giants get some hitting at the deadline they will most likely win the wild card (they are 2 up right now) and be a tough match up in the Playoffs with the 1-2 combo of Lincecum and Cain. Also Pablo Sandoval is cool shit.
- I want the Sox to pick up a better defensive short stop at the deadline.
- The Cleveland Indians are going to be the team to watch the next few weeks. As a team, they have sucked diddly ucked this year, but there are many players on that team that other teams will want and by all accounts they want to dump payroll. It will be interesting to see how big of a fire sale they have. Another side note, Tomo Ohka is currently 0-2 for the Indians. He had one decent start but did not get any run support.
- I will leave you with some trivia: Who is the worst 2 time All-Star in Red Sox history?
