My T-Shirt Tribute To Jim Rice

Jim Rice was my first favorite Red Sox even though I only became baseball conscience near the end of his career. I have had his rookie card since I was 3 and I have a distinct memory of seeing him hit a home run over the Monster that hit a car on the parking lot across the street and thinking it was the coolest thing ever at the time. I also always thought it was cool how he rushed into the stands to help get the kid who was hit in the head by a hard line drive and bring him into the team doctors. When he got into the Hall of Fame, I wanted to do a little tribute to him. So I made a t-shirt that did not have his name on it, just his stats from his best year in 78:   .315 46 139   It was a monster year at a time when Monster year where not as common place as they are today. Now whenever I wear the t-shirt, people always ask what the numbers mean and it gives me an excuse to talk about Jim Rice. A picture of the T-shirt is after the jump.
