Watching Aces: Beckett and Pedro

I spent the past few hours flipping back and forth between The Sox/Tigers game and The Philly/Cubs game. With the help of a white hot Lowell and getting hot again Bay, the Sox took a quick big lead making it easier for me to see what Pedro was up to. Pedro just finished the 5th inning with a huge lead and is most likely done for the night. Aside from looking tired in the 5th inning, Pedro looked impressive. His fastball was in the low 90s and he was hitting his spots; we even got a classic Pedro stare at the batter after a strike out to end the inning. Beckett may never be the uber-ace that Pedro was in his prime, but he is a legit ace and has been great this year. Tonight, he cruised though 7 innings for his 14th win which I think put him as the current leader in the Cy Young race. On a side note, the ass hole Cubs fan that threw a beer at Victorino when he was about to make a catch in the 5th should get his ass kicked.
