Theo is GMing Like Dan Duquette

During his time as GM, Dan Duquette was known for making constant moves and trying a ton of reclamation projects especially in the rotation such as Bret Saberhagen, Tim Wakefield, and Steve Avery. Theo this year has made more roster moves than usual, and has taken chances on guys like Penny, Smoltz, and most recently Bird who came up big today in a spot start. Part of the reason for that is injuries, and I think the other reason is much like those Duquette Sox teams in like 95, 98, and 99, this Sox team is a good team, but there just seems to be some sort of missing ingredient the entire year and Theo seems to be looking for it. I think brining A-Gon back, might have been that ingredient. We have a 2 1/2 game lead over Texas and are starting just to play better overall since he has come here. All we need now if for Beckett to start pitching like Beckett.
