This whole health care debate reminds me of the Social Security debate when Bush was in office but in reverse. This time a Democratic President has a reform plan and instead of engaging in a legit debate, the Republicans are trying to scare the shit out of everyone. I admit that the Democrats used the same tactics with Bush's proposed a plan that allowed for the creation of private Social Security accounts. So here is my idea to solve some of the decade's biggest partisan divides. Why not create an Omni-Bill that included a public health option and allowed people to have private Social Security accounts. Either everyone would vote for it or everyone would vote against still, but I think whatever happened it would force people to think of more creative compromises to actual you know, get  legislation reforms passed.
