If the Sox don't tank it this last month, we should get the wild card. Most likely Buchholz would be are number 3 starter and I have to say that I have no worries about him. He has the stuff, I think we kind of overrate playoff experience, and Buckholz may be clueless enough not to let the pressure of a big stage get to him. Lester did well in the 07 World Series without a lot of experience. Beckett dominated for Florida without a lot of experience. Sometimes lack of experience can actually be a positive in the playoffs like how pitchers did not know what to throw to Ellsbury in the 07 series. If Beckett can get himself together and become the aforementioned Beckett of old in the playoffs, I like our chances despite how inconsistent this team has been for much of the year.
