Edelman and The Defense Will Be The Keys To Playoff Success
If Welker is hurt as bad as it looked, we need Edelman to do his best Welker impersonation in the playoffs. He has many of the same skills; he just needs to do a better job of catching everything his way and finding the holes in zone defense which Welker is amazing at.
Even if Edelman some how plays as well as Welker, it will all be for not if the defense does not step it up. The Patriots got ran on for the entire game today; hopefully the return of Wilfork and Warren next week will remedy that. Even if the run defense improves, the secondary has not shown they can stop a decent passer all year; nor have we been able to get consistent pressure on quarterbacks. We are doomed if that continues.
