Jay Electronica is not actually good enough to be the next Nas, but he is better than a lot of the shit that has come out the past few years. He has been around for a while as a rapper and producer, but never has really gone full bore to try to be a star himself, but recently his out put has increased tenfold. He is from New Orleans but has a mixture of a 90s New Yorkers' sensibilities combined with the artsy streak of guys like Andre 3000 and Kanye West that makes him look outside the normal realm of beats to rap over.
