February is a T.V. sweeps month and nothing drives up local news ratings like a big snow story. Was today's bad weather report just an epic weatherman (and weatherwomen) fail, or did they collude to overhype the story to get better sweeps month ratings? It is most likely the former because other weather services said it would hit us as well, but I still say it behooves the T.V. people's bottom lines to overhype a storm.
