I am adding buying turn tables and mixing equipment for my computer to my things to do list for the summer. In the past few weeks I have been disappointed by a number of D.J.s at clubs. The guy at Club Royale last night was playing lame mash ups (think Journey combined with Lady Gaga) that anyone could download off the Internet which were very similar to the lame mash ups the dude was playing at Gypsy Bar a few weeks before that. I am pretty sure Phoenix Landing just uses an ipod playlist in most cases because the songs end and there is a one second pause a lot before the next one starts. One of the better ones if the dude on Friday nights at Red Line bar, but even he could be better. Thus, this summer I am going to have to go for it and show people whats what.
