Thoughts On Sox, Celtics, and Bruins

  • All three teams were in action yesterday. Well, it is hard to say the Red Sox were in action considering the way they played. In the continuation of Friday's game their inability to score in extra innings with the bases loaded and nobody out was beyond pathetic. The next game featured a horrible error by are alleged gold glove center fielder that blew the game early. To make matters worse, the Sox teased with a classic Fenway comeback, but unlike the past could not finish it. If things stay like this, don't be surprised if Pedroia  (who is killing the ball) freaks out on the rest of the team in the club house.
  • The Celtics looked lifeless for part of the game but pulled it together to take control of the game mid way in the third. Credit Tony Allen who is actually going to be the most important player in the series. No one else on the Celtics has the young legs and speed to keep up with Wade; but, Tony Allen did a great job of sticking Wade last night and allowed the Celtics to come back.
  • I like to get on Ryder because he is one of the Bruins most talented scorers but rarely lives up to his potential, but he came through yesterday. As did the rest of the team. This Buffalo team they are facing is not uber-talented either so I will be disappointed if the Bruins can not pull out this series.
