The Sox loss was not as important as the Bs loss and even more so the Celtics shellacking by Lebron and Co but Beckett's perforamce tonight even annoyed me more than the Celtics or the Bruins losing in OT. I did not see every pitch he threw but he had dominant stuff for a while there and through a combination of dumb pitch selection at times and missing location he let a promising start go to hell. People keep talking about Ortiz but Beckett has been the biggest disappointment of this young season bar far. His is supposed to be our ace and his ERA is over 7. If he was performing near the level of other aces in baseball we most likely would have 3 or 4 more wins under our belt. If Beckett does not get his shit together and fast this season is not salvageable.
