Devin McCourty Making Lawesque Plays

Ty Law was drafted with the 23rd pick overall. Devin McCourty was drafted with the 27th Pick overall. McCourty obviously has a lot to accomplish to reach Law status, but so far this year he has shown a knack for making Law like big plays which have shut up many of the naysayers who questions whether or not he has the talent of a first round draft pick. Case in point, today’s 2 interceptions especially the first one. Brady had a perfect passer rating and the Patriots won today 45 to 24 so today’s game might seem like a blow out. However, the Patriots were trailing at the start of the second half and failed to move the ball on their first possession. At that point the game was very much in doubt; it was McCourty’s huge pick while covering all world receiver Calvin Johnson which completely turned the game around. This Patriots defense still worries me because they let up a lot of easy scoring drives. However, like McCourty today they have shown a knack for making big plays and with Brady playing at an MVP level that may be enough…
