Good Early Childhood Education Blogs

In general the main stream media often does not report too much on early childhood education.; this makes it difficult for people either in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or interested in the field to find out the latest information regarding research and policy. Thus, I wanted to highlight a few of the better ECE blogs that provide recaps and links to the latest research in ECE and the latest policies effecting ECE.

First is http://eyeonearlyeducation.org/ which is run by long time Boston Globe writer and current Strategies For Children communications director Irene Sege.

The second blog is http://preschoolmatters.org/ which is the blog of the National Institute of Early Education Research.

Another good resource is the Harvard Center For The Developing Child: http://developingchild.harvard.edu/ They have links to new research, interactive features about the science of early childhood development like this one http://developingchild.harvard.edu/index.php/library/multimedia/interactive_features/biodevelopmental-framework/, and videos from scholars on the subject.
