Quick Sports Hits:
- Tyler Seguin in 2011 is to the Bruins what Jacoby Ellsbury was for the Red Sox in 2007.
- Adrian Gonzales and Beckett are carrying the Red Sox right now.
- And carrying them within a game of first place; who would have thought that we had a shot of being in first before Memorial Day after our terrible start?
- Thats partly due the Yankees who will provide endless entertainment the next few years as their aging overpaid stars slowly start to completely suck.
- Speaking of aging stars, the biggest difference in baseball since PED testing is aging players don't hit anymore. Well, except of Lange Berkman this year....
- I am rooting for KP, Durant, and the Thunder to win it all this year.
- The only thing interesting about this Cubs team coming to Boston is Starlin Castro.
- I hope the Dodgers get sold; they have a lot of potential stars like Kemp (especially Kemp), Etheir, and Kershaw and the ownership situation is holding the franchise back from exploiting those players star potential because overall the team sucks. And while baseball is lacking star power right now.
- The Tampa Bay Rays kick ass on the road and suck at home. I wonder how good they would be if they had a home crowd.
- I like that there are rumors of moving more Hockey teams back to Canada where they belong.
- Speaking of moving teams, should't baseball move one of these teams with no fan base like the aforementioned rays to Monterrey Mexico? It is a relatively wealthy city in Mexico, they already have a baseball stadium, and while baseball is not as big in Mexico as soccer is, it is still pretty popular and they would become the defacto team for the whole country.
