Adrian Gonzalez=Wade Boggs With Power

While Adrian Gonzalez his a power hitting lefty, he reminds me less of guys like Mo Vaugh and David Ortiz and more of Wade Boggs. People always speculated that Boggs could hit for more power if he wanted too, but it might sacrifice his always prolific averages. Check out Boggs's stats dude was underrated: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/boggswa01.shtml Well Gonzalez is putting up Boggs like batting average numbers with a similar ability to hit singles and doubles into left field and off the Green Monster; however, Gonzalez is also adding the power element to his game. If he keeps this up for the second half he will have on of the best years in Red Sox history.
