All Tied After 161

  • If you enjoy the drama of sport, you can't tell me tonight was not fun even when many moments most likely had Red Sox fans hearts palpitating at too fast a rate.
  • Jacoby hit another HR to strengthen his MVP case.
  • Lavarnway coming from nowhere (or Yale which is pretty much the same thing) and hitting not 1 but 2 home runs which were the first of his career.
  • Alfredo Aceves continued his Yeoman's work of pitching pretty much every damn day.
  • Bedard continued the Sox tradition of starting pitchers this month of not lasting more than 3 innings.
  • Papelbon made it way too interesting, but got it done in the end. So many foul balls by Baltmore's hitters; especially Jones and Markakis. I wonder if Papelbon will not be available, but at this point all hands are on deck. Game on for tomorrow.
