Baseball Becoming More Unpredictable

Whenever we near the Championships of any sport, I think it is fun to look at the predictions of the "experts" regarding which teams would be playing for the title. Below is a link to ESPN 30 experts predictions as to which 2 teams would make it to the World Series: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/preview/2011/news/story?page=11expertpicks
Not a single "expert" had the 4 remaining teams, Rangers, Brewers, Cardinals, and the Tigers (who look like they are about to be eliminated) in the World Series; I admit that I had the Red Sox vs the Braves in the series which look liked a solid prediction at the end of August; at the end of September, not so much. The Boston Globe's staff is just as bad: http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2011/03/26/globe_staff_baseball_picks/
The reason for this is not just cause all the people who fashion themselves baseball experts are idiots (we are myself included) it is because ball is increasingly hard to predict. There is a lot more parity in the game than before. The Phillies have a super rotation, but their line up which looks great on paper is kind of anemic. The Red Sox and Yankees spent shit tons of money, but  lacked pitching depth. Even the teams remaining all have major flaws. For example Texas who I would consider the favorite to win it all does not really have an "ace" at the top of their rotation. Because there is no team that is complete and with clearly more talent than any other, success in the post-season is becoming unpredictable and based on which teams get hot and or a little luck in September/October. Relating all this to the Red Sox troubles, I think the increase in parity has made a teams "chemistry" which the Red Sox by all accounts clearly lacked all the more important.
