Angels Are Now The World Series Favorite...
The Red Sox proved last year that couple big off season signing do not automatically win you a World Series. That being said, I would consider the Angels the current favorites to win the World Series. Before we get to Pujols, lets look at their rotation. 1. Jeff Weaver 2. Dan Haren 3. (newly signed) CJ Wilson (the Wilson signing weakens their main rival the Rangers) , Ervin Santana making a great front 4, and Jerome Williams most likely rounding out the rotation in the 5th spot. The front 4 is better than the Rangers, Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, and Tigers. Even with Pujols, their line up is not as good as the Rangers, Sox, or Yankees, but he still will be a force in the middle of the line-up and will make everyone else better; in addition, the Angels have one of the most hyped prospects in baseball Mike Trout ready to become an everyday player next year. Furthermore, the Angels had the best team defense in baseball last year using a variety of statistical measures. Right now I would have to consider them the favorite to win it all...
